Morning pick-up at 08:00 AM from your Marrakech accommodation. Journey up the scenic switchbacks of the High Atlas mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m). Arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou for a guided exploration of its clay architecture, famous from films like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. After a scenic lunch, continue past Ouarzazate and Kalaat M'Gouna (the Rose Valley) into the dramatic rock formations of Dades Gorges for dinner and a peaceful night in a boutique valley hotel.
Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Erfoud Fossil Oasis → Merzouga Dunes (Luxury Camp)
After breakfast, head towards Tinghir and the breathtaking Todra Gorges. Take an inspiring walk between the vertical 300-meter-high limestone canyon walls. Drive through the date palm groves of Tafilalet and the fossil workshops of Erfoud to reach Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Mount your camel for a mesmerizing trek across the golden dunes as the sun sets over the Sahara.
